  • 1 lbs pene
  • 2 lbs golden potatoes
  • 1-1/2 lbs cheese
  • 2 cups apple sauce

    Steps for Completion
  1. Slice and caramelize the onions.
  2. Cook the penne al dente in salted water.
  3. Peel and cube the potatoes. Do not make the cubes too small. Cook in salted water.
  4. Shred the cheese.
  5. To plate, combine the pasta and potatoes then melt the cheese on top. Put the onions on side of the plate and the apple sauce on the other. Put a dash of nutmeg on top.
